AdvanTech® Sheathing Adds 23/32-Inch Square Edge Sheathing
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 25, 2014) – Huber Engineered Woods, a leading manufacturer of innovative building solutions, has added 23/32-inch square edge sheathing to its AdvanTech® sheathing product line.
“AdvanTech 23/32-inch square edge sheathing is a great addition to existing ½-inch and 5/8-inch thicknesses as a superior alternative to 23/32-inch Southern Yellow Pine and ¾-inch fir plywood for roofs and walls,” said Jason Darling, general manager of AdvanTech flooring. “As a result, the product is perfect for flat roof and remodeling applications.”
The superior strength of AdvanTech sheathing supports higher design snow and ice loads than PS-2 level OSB or plywood panels. The panel’s design stiffness also surpasses PS-2 level OSB or plywood panels by contributing to straighter, stiffer finishes.
In addition, AdvanTech sheathing has a structural-1 rating for greater resistance to wind and seismic loads, as well as unmatched moisture resistance using the same advanced resin technology as AdvanTech flooring. AdvanTech sheathing is also backed by the same industry-leading limited lifetime warranty that covers the flooring panels.
AdvanTech sheathing specifications include:
• 48/24 span rating in 23/32-inch performance category
• Actual size 47 15/16” x 95 15/16”
• 45 pieces per unit, shipped with AdvanTech side covers

About AdvanTech® Sheathing
AdvanTech® Roof and Wall Sheathing is manufactured with design strength and stiffness capacities beyond those required by PS-2, the voluntary standard that all other panels adhere to. AdvanTech sheathing panels have design values that are recognized by the ICC-ES and published in ESR-1785, viewable at www.icc-es.org. Engineered to perform, AdvanTech sheathing has a structural-1 rating for greater resistance to wind and seismic loads, as well as offers greater water resistance than commodity OSB sheathing and plywood.
